Your IT department just hired a new CIO. One of the first things she notices is that department is very unorganized when it comes to running projects. The problem: everybody does their own thing so there is no consistency in the reports she receives from the project managers. She knows she wants to implement something but what?

You and your teammate have been assigned this project.

Research and document:

• Project management methodologies - what does this even mean?

• What are the most common methodologies? (hint: Waterfall and Agile)

• What are the pros and cons of these two methodologies?

• Are there any other methodologies we should consider? Give a brief (a paragraph) description of at least 5 others.

• Are there any certifications in project management?

• What is a PMO? (last letter stands for office)

• Give your final recommendations and why you both made that decision.

You must have a resource page (in case the CIO wants more information so you can find it again)
