Aim of the Assessment
This assessment asks students to develop a beginning understanding of what life is like for people who experience mental illness with particular reference to the profile and burden of a mental illness and the contribution nurses and midwives make to the person using the Recovery framework.
The student also has the opportunity to research a current Australian service that seeks to improve care and reduce the impact of the mental illness.

• Living with Panic Disorder

• Q1. A clear introduction to the aim of the topic provided which is living with panic disorder
• Q2. A statement about the incidence of the mental health issue that is panic disorder you are focussing on in Australia. (Include statistics, population, age, gender) and the disease burden (economic cost) in Australia.
• Q3. An overview of the challenges that a person living with this condition may face - this will provide background information about how the person may present to services, the symptoms they may complain of and how these symptoms affect their daily life. (Please include Psychological, physical, and social challenge faced by person living with this panic disorder issues)
• Q4. description of relevant Recovery focussed nursing interventions to assess the needs of the person and assist the person and their family to understand the condition and develop effective strategies to support the person's recovery.
