Professionalism is very important when it comes to working in the medical field. There are many ways that people see you as being professional when it comes to this sort of field. It is always important to keep a good appearance because you are going to be seeing and treating people everyday. You should always have some form of compasion for this sort of job, due to the fact you don't want to seem like you are constantly miserable at work. Always ensure that you are being understanding with patients because many of the times people don't enjoy going to the doctors. You need to make sure that you are making the patient you are seeing at the time your top priority in order to give them the best care that they need. For me, I need to work on being more social when it comes to being around people. My problem is I have really bad anxiety, but I have worked a little within the medical assistant staff and I was less anxious when it came to helping out with patients. There are many different ways that I will demonstrate professionalism when I finish school or even now is to ensure that I am hygening everyday and making sure that I come to work with the proper clothes, nails, and hair. Another way I will demonstrate good professionalism is being a reliable and dependable worker with a good work ethic. I believe that everyone is not perfect, but there is always going to be room for improvement in my eyes.
