This is meant to compliment your earlier homework assignments and lessons on creating a vision statement and supporting objectives to give you a fuller appreciation for the entire planning process. This assignment is also meant to help practice your written communication, analytical, and research skills which are critical for a manager in any organization.
Scenario:
You are the marketing department manager for Thunder Sports, a small athletic apparel company. Your company has a strong corporate social responsibility (CSR) culture and has as one of its goals to engage in at least two community projects each year.
This year the CSR planning team, of which you are a member, worked with the local United Way to survey all the nonprofits and local elected officials in the community to identify the community’s most pressing needs. The three top issues identified were funding for the food pantry, declining youth physical fitness, and overpopulation at the local animal shelters. The CSR planning team then surveyed all of company’s employees to determine which of the three issues were most strongly embraced by the company. The employees expressed equal amounts of interest in all three issues. In order to evaluate which of the three issues the company could best address inits community projects over the next year, the CSR team decided to create preliminary plans for projects that would address each one.
As a member of the CSR team, your assignment is to create an initial concept plan for one of the following activities:

You will write the concept plan for. Then write a professional memorandum to the CSR Planning Team which clearly describes your concept plan for the event. The memorandum should be between 2-3 pages, double spaced, with a minimum of 500 words in the body of the memorandum.
