The production of protein sources for human production has been under fire in the media and many documentaries released exposing various industries practices in animal treatment etc. The egg, beef, poultry, and diary industry as well as the fishing practices all have problem issues. Calculate your RDA for protein using .8 g/kg of weight. How many ounces of meat is that for a day? How many eggs (about)? How many beans? Nuts? From your point of view, what are your main concerns with our dietary protein sources and why? What recommendations, given many suffer from chronic diseases, would you give re: protein sources? (perhaps a ratio of animal protein to plant protein).
