a. Take off quantities on dimension paper in accordance with NRM2 for the internal finishes/decoration (floor, wall, ceiling and skirting) and masonry (external and internal walls superstructure only - above and not including Damp Proof Course) as shown on the assignment drawings

You may assume/note the following (this is not a complete list of assumptions you may wish to make);

Note you are not required to extend your dimensions ('square off')

External wall : 102.5 brickwork outer leaf, 50 thick cavity and 100 thick inner leaf blockwork

Internal wall : 100 thick blockwork unless noted otherwise

Floor to ceiling height = 2.70m

Ground floor construction is of a concrete slab

Door threshold strips not required - assume Room 4 finish at door thresholds

Disregard the opening/counter between Rm 4 Entrance and Rm 6 Reception

Deduct the areas for windows and doors

Decoration to window and door reveals not required

Marks will be awarded for:
o the production of an appropriate query sheet and taking-off list;
o correct usage of dimension paper, and methodical order and presentation of the taking-off;
o accuracy of the measurement, including appropriate waste calculations;
o accuracy and clarity of the descriptions;
