More than 90 companies have started producing SARS-CoV-2 antibody tests. Due to demand, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) allowed the sale of antibody tests without formal federal review or approval. A study was recently conducted to assess the accuracy of 14 commercially available tests.

-Suppose that Test A is 94% accurate in those who were previously infected and those who were not previously infected. Suppose that Test B is 92% accurate in those who were previously infected and 99% accurate in those who were not previously infected.

-The probability that a person who tests positive actually has the antibodies is referred to as the positive predictive value (PPV) of the test. Calculate the PPV of each test, under the assumption that the tests will be administered in a population where 6% of individuals are infected with SARS-CoV-2.
