Problem 1:
A candy company that produces peanut brittle wants to diagram its process. To produce the peanut brittle, the process begins with the ingredients of sugar, milk, salt, peanuts and through a series of six activities, transforms them into packaged peanut brittle.
The following activities are needed to form the candy:
Create the brittle mixture by mixing ingredients
Heat mixture to proper temperature
Spread the mixture onto prepared sheet pans
Cool the brittle
Break brittle into pieces.
Package brittle into prepared plastic bags.
Draw a top-level process diagram for the making of peanut brittle
Identify the inputs, outputs and resources on the diagram.
Draw a simple process flow diagram that shows EACH of the 6 activities of the brittle-making process.
Either on the diagram, or in a table accompanying the diagram, identify the inputs, output and resources for EACH activity.
