Your Tasks:

Question 1. Examine the data provided in the file brea heart bikes data 2020.xlsx. This is a workbook with a number of pages, describing production for 2020, giving order data, the current quality scores, information about complaints, training details on the old workstations, and an analysis of the operation of the new workstations.

Produce descriptive summary statistics describing what has been happening in the company (addressing the observations given by the management team). Analyse the possible factors that might influence the quality scores and complaints. Some have been identified above but you may consider additional factors.

Question 2. Detail how a parametric z-test works and how a non-parametric Chi-squared test works using the 7-steps of hypothesis testing Looking at the concerns of the five senior managers (Marketing Director, Purchasing Manager, Production Manager, HR Director and CEO). Apply both of these tests once to show how they can be used to answer management concerns.

Question 3. Produce the workflow of the current bike production processes in simul8 and explain the key results found. Using the results, make a suggestion to management about the kinds of experiments that can be done to help them plan for the future.

Question 4. Present a brief report along with your simul8 model that explains to management how they can change key elements of the model to perform future experiments with shifts and changes of equipment and workplace processes.
