I. Assessment Requirements

Given the scenario "Thomson Cycle", deliver a report based on the following deliverable tasks. Although some tasks are based on group work, it is expected that all members of the group to submit their work individually. Thesubmitted work should contain both group work and the individual work.

Deliverable tasks:

Task One: Select an appropriate system development methodology (Group work)

In your report specify your role as a system analyst and the required skills throughout the SDLC. Given the current data process, select a suitable system development methodology (waterfall, prototyping, RAD and etc.) to implement an IS to help run Thomson Cycles. Justify your answer by comparing your selected methodologies with more than two other methodologies.

Task two: Data gathering technique (Group work)

Produce a data gathering technique to ascertain user needs for the Thomson Cycles new system. Examples of data gathering techniques: interview, questionnaire, survey, observation or JAD.

Task three: Create a requirement definition statement covering both functional and non-functional requirements. (Group work)

Task four: Use cases (Individual work)

Create a use case diagram for the new system. Selecting two use cases, create use case description for the selected cases.

Task five: Data Flow Diagram (Individual)

Create the context diagram, Level 0 DFD and Level 1 DFD for oneidentified use case in task four.

Your report should include the discussion you had in the group to produce your data gathering technique and requirements definition.
