Select a real-life project or fictitious project that involves or involved procurement of outside services or products. 
Write a paper in which you explain the procurement aspects of the chosen project, including the type of procurement (product or service), the provider, key procurement decisions made by the project team, and the contract type.

Identify at least three (3) project procurement management processes that are or were needed to complete this specific procurement.

Explain how each process was carried out in the project and who was responsible.

Then, compare your project's approach to procurement to best practices in your industry.

Based on this analysis, suggest specific improvements to your project's procurement management processes by asking yourself, what could have been done better?

End your paper by examining how and why procurement management is a key part of project management success.

ASSIGNMENT 2: Compare Procurement Management Processes in PMBOK to a real life scenario

The PMBOK (5thed.) outlines a recommended process for procurement management. Develop a table in MS Word to compare and contrast key elements of the PMBOK procurement process with the procurement process used in the project/organization you discussed in the previous assignment one (1). Comparison points may include process coverage and content, procurement responsibility of the project manager, key concepts and terminology, applicability to your industry, and other factors you deem relevant.

After you have developed your comparison table, discuss if your project or organization could align its procurement process with PMBOK's. What would work and what would not work so well? Why? Justify your analysis with examples from your project/organization and examples from the literature.
