ASSIGNMENT 1: Explain Procurement Management Processes and Suggest Improvements
Select a real-life project or fictitious project that involves or involved procurement of outside services or products.
Write a paper in which you explain the procurement aspects of the chosen project, including the type of procurement (product or service), the provider, key procurement decisions made by the project team, and the contract type.
Identify at least three (3) project procurement management processes that are or were needed to complete this specific procurement.
Explain how each process was carried out in the project and who was responsible.
Then, compare your project's approach to procurement to best practices in your industry.
Based on this analysis, suggest specific improvements to your project's procurement management processes by asking yourself, what could have been done better?
