Process analysis and problem solving
Once the business analyst has concluded an investigation of an organisation, the results need to be collated and reported.
During an investigation of an organization the business analyst needs to capture the data and model the processes. This is similar to "gap analysis" where we are collating current and future expectations. One area of interest is the concept of requirements. This is further expanded into the following types:
Functional requirements (FR): what the system must provide for the client. One way to present this data is by a use case diagram/s
Non function requirements (NFR): how the system will provide a service and will this satisfy the user engagement with the system. In short, so how does the requirement behave. One way to present this data is by user stories, which may also link to one to many use case/s.
