Parpoo had agreed to sell his bungalow to Kah Chang for the price of RM150,000. The bungalow was built by a famous contractor in Kuala Lumpur. However, the land on which the bungalow was built is a Temporary Occupation Licence's land (TOL) and it prohibits any transfer to be made on this particular land. Kah Chang who was really interested bought the bungalow with the price offered.

In order to facilitate the transfer, Parpoo sought an assistance from his friend Che Kup who works at Land Office Putrajaya and promised to give him RM2,000.00 upon completion of the transfer. After the transfer was completed, Che Kup claimed for the amount promised earlier. However, Parpoo refused to pay.
