Problem-Solution Essay Assignment -
Title: WILDFIERS
A Problem-Solution Essay examines a current problem and offers a workable solution to the problem. Your audience is your instructor.
- Each body paragraph must be no less than 8 sentences.
- You must use at least two supporting sources in your paragraphs. This might include a news article, a book, or a documentary.
- Include the author's name and title of the article, book, or documentary and the date of the source in your essay. When using material from another source, paraphrase where possible. Direct quotes can be used but make sure you know how to properly quote a source.
Introduction -
Hook: Think of using a quote or startling statement for this essay that makes me want to read what you have written.
Supporting details: Why should my audience care about this? How does it affect my audience? Why is this important to write about?
Thesis: Write one sentence that tells your audience what your main point is

Supporting details: How will the solution work? Offer evidence, examples, or reasons why
Supporting details: Will the solution solve or reduce the problem? Explain this.

Summary: Briefly summarize your problem and solution. Indicate why the solution will solve the problem
Concluding sentence: In this sentence leave me with something to think about.
