RFID (Radio frequency identification) technology is extensively employed in the credit card industry to empower the modern smarter credit cards. The technology has been executed by the Visa cards to launch Visa pay cards which are RFID based and offer speed and convenience to customers as they can be easily read by RFID card readers and don't need to be swiped like the traditional chip as well as pin cards.
