A receiver receives a string of 0s and 1s transmitted from a certain source. The receiver used a majority rule. That is, if the receiver acquires ?ve symbols, of which three or more are 1s, it decides thata1 was transmitted. The receiver is correct only 85% of the time. What is P(W), the probability of a wrong decision if the probabilities of receiving 0s and 1s are equally likely? What can you conclude from your result?
