Post: "I know that many people criticize Rawls, but I like his principles of justice. Obviously, the five hereditary clan chiefs are behind a veil of ignorance. A good thinker is on the side of the 20 elected band councils along the route of the pipeline. The good thinker agrees that pipeline will help communities become less dependent on federal funding. Rawls is right that income and wealth should be distributed in such a way that the most disadvantaged social strata will benefit from it. If the hereditary chiefs in their Original Position had removed the veil of ignorance, then they would see that the First Nation Communities were among the most disadvantage. They would like guarantees for their communities.

However, since the hereditary chiefs are behind the veil of ignorance, they are not willing to take risks. On the other side, there are 20 elected band councils. When discussing justice, they understand the risks from the pipeline and choose the principles of justice in the distribution of income and wealth Any distributions from the pipeline should be of the highest benefit to their poorest communities".
