Book: Principles for Professional Ethics 2010
Discussion Post (Ethics) Instructions:
After reading the NASP guidelines pertaining to assessment (which are attached in the other PDF file I have uploaded), prepare a discussion post (400 to 600 words in length) with the following:
Identify and briefly describe 3 to 5 main ideas pertaining to the ethics involved in the assessment of intelligence. Note – You'll likely find that there are more than 3 to 5 ethical principles relevant to assessment or measurement of intelligence; I want you to integrate and paraphrase the information into five main ideas. I don't anticipate or expect that everyone will come up with the same 3 to 5 main ideas (although there will likely be similarities).
For at least one of your main ideas, pose a question that remains unanswered for you. For example, this unanswered question might involve a specific ethical dilemma or perhaps how a particularly ethical principle is actually interpreted and applied in the profession.
NASP Ethical Principals (see below a list of the most relevant to assessment):
Most relevant principles:
1.1 Consent and Assent
1.2 Confidentiality
II.1 Competence
II.3 Responsible Assessment
II.4 Responsible Record Keeping
II.5 Responsible Use of Materials
