Mrs. Shirley Jones is a 73-year-old who has end-stage ovarian cancer. Her daughter, Danielle, is her primary caregiver at home. Mrs. Jones has been experiencing significant pain and unfortunately, her pain has not been well controlled. You are the home care nurse caring for her and have an appointment to perform a routine assessment. The patient and family have refused hospice care. The patient still wants to actively care for her disease and is not a DNR. Her daughter greets you at the door.
