A large mining company proposes to establish a mine and extract and market coal within a two year time frame. The company has applied to the Victorian government for approval of the scheme for establishing mine and extracting coal from the area about 20km from Mildura, Victoria.

The company indicates the large deposit of easily extractable, high quality coal and will employ about 500 people when operational.
