Assessment: Report, Presentation and Reflection

Each team has been allocated an industry. Firms in the allocated industries have been through public relations difficulties in the recent past.

Your team's task is to write a report detailing:
i) background
ii) the public relations difficulties: what happened and why
iii) the impact these difficulties have had on the companies in the industry, focusing only on the companies indicated in your team instructions, using relevant evidence
iv) possible responses to these issues, using a relevant theoretical framework
v) justified recommendations for action.

The report must be in standard report format as follows:
Title page including title, authors and date
Contents page including all Headings and Sub-headings and page numbers
Executive Summary
Report, divided into sections with descriptive Headings and Sub-headings, including a Recommendations section
References (references are excluded from the word count)
Appendices for data or survey results (appendices are excluded from the word count)

PRESENTATION

The team will develop a 15 minute presentation of the report including a script and visuals. One person in the team will present to senior members of the relevant industry body on behalf of the whole team.

REFLECTION

This is an informal piece of writing in which you explain what and how you have learnt about team processes. Authentic examples of your learning are expected.
