Question: The transportation manager must select the best way to supply four customers from the company's four warehouses.

The objective is to minimize the transportation costs of shipping of goods from the warehouses to the four customers. There are various costs, and several constrains in the supply and demand aspects. The underlying objective is to minimize the costs for the whole system. The table below provides the supply and demand aspects on the left and the per unit costs for each supply/demand possibility on the right.
