I need help please coming up with an example scenario with the following:

  1. Present a scenario where you were a customer or listener where the speaker (or writer) did NOT adapt the message for you.
  2. What specifically did the speaker say (or write) that tells you the message was not designed for you as the audience?
  3. How was your perception of the message hindered by the lack of "you" view or level of language usage
  4. What suggestions would you have for the speaker (or writer) to avoid the same mistakes again?

**Adaptation is the process of creating a message that suits your audience. This is one of the major mistakes that people make when speaking or writing. They don't consider what the audience is listening for or what is of interest to the audience. Remember, the audience will ask themselves "What's in this for me?" as your message is being heard or read.**
