Student Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

As a General Education course in Area ID, CRIM 153 provides instruction at the upper-division level that integrates material from lower-division courses in Breadth, Area D.

Students completing this course will be able to:

1. Deal with human social, political, and economic institutions and behavior and their historical background;

2. Reflect the fact that human social, political, and economic institutions and behavior are inextricably woven;

3. Examine problems and issues in these areas in their contemporary as well as historical setting, including both Western and non-Western contexts;

4. Learn to live in a culturally diverse and changing society; and

5. Prepare to function in an international, multicultural society.
