Question: Pretend you are the host of a Christian radio program in Germany in the mid-1960s. The war is over. Germany continues to rebuild, having undergone a process of de-Nazification. Those who were born after the war are entering their teen years, but there is not yet a great stir among them to question the older generation-energy which would flourish by the end of the decade. The reckoning is simmering, though, within German society. You are among those Germans who feels shame and regret over the Holocaust. You are also a Lutheran, preparing a show where among your guests will be the theologian, Paul Althaus (to whom Robert Ericksen refers as one of "Hitler's Theologians"). prepare three questions for your broadcast, in which you ask him to explain his position in light of the Shoah. After you draft each question, answer with a sentence or two about how you think Althaus would respond to the question when asked it on live radio.
