A nonnewtonian plate is at rest between two plates (5 mm apart) in parallel. The bottom plate is stationary while the upper plate can move horizontally. A laminar flow is generated by moving the upper plate. Three different shear rates are applied (800, 1000 and 1200 s-1 ). Assuming that the fluid follows a power low model, Calculate the velocity of the upper plate at three different shear rates for n = 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9. (K = 0.5) Prepare the graph of shear rate against velocity for different "n" values.
