Question: Two hours before it was about to start, hip-hop celebrity Mo Jo cancelled her concert in Greenville, North Carolina, because she did not like her hotel accommodations, and she just was not in the mood to perform. The concert promoter, Entertainment Ventures, is furious as it invested a significant amount of time and money in the event and had a sold-out venue. The costs that Entertainment Ventures incurred for the cancellation are estimated to be $250,000. Entertainment Ventures wants its $50,000.00 advance, the lost ticket sales, lost profits, and any other related expenses that Mo Jo cost them.
