Assignment Objective

Students are encouraged to work with enterprise mobility in terms of communication, organization and technology. Combination of practical/research aspects where students work independently and provide evidence to the topic and provide critical evaluation on the topic.

Assignment Tasks

Part 1:
Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) refers to the management of devices in a corporate setting. Its main purpose is to ensure that devices and data stay secured even when employees are working on the go.

The need to have a firm enterprise mobility strategy is more critical than ever. According to some estimates, the global workforce is expected to reach 1.87 billion people by 2020. This means that all organizations must address their policies and make sure their approach is the right one - meaning that it aligns with business needs, organisational policies, culture, budget, IT and staff resources, and other consideration.

Currently, we see three popular options:
• Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
• Choose Your Own Device ( CYOD)
• Corporate-Owned, Personally-Enabled (COPE)
There is no one-size-fits-all solutions and each of these have pros and cons.

Question:

Based on the above scenario, choose on sector of the following and explain how to choose the best Enterprise Mobility Management Strategy and Model mentioned above with proper justification. The sectors are:
1. Banking
2. Insurance
3. Manufacturing
4. Government.
Your answer must include the reasons of choose a particular strategy in terms of its advantages, disadvantages and how it fits the sector you chose.

Part 2:

Using virtual (VM Virtual Box) environment, apply the different technologies to deploy email services and enterprise mobility within an organization by implementing a test environment for email communication with Exchange Server 2013. Your model should be in client/server model. The report should include installation steps and configuration steps of exchange server and in two different independent operating systems for server and client. After that, ensure the client server communication between exchange server and client via email is working properly. You should be able to troubleshoot the system if any error occurs. the student is expected to write a report on the installation steps and screenshots of some important steps.
