For this project, you have received the 2021 monthly income statement, and supporting schedules, for April's Apricots, Inc. Your assignment is prepare April's budgeted monthly direct cash flow statement and budgeted monthly balance sheet for 2021.
Deliverables:
• Completed monthly direct cash flow statement and a monthly balance sheet. You should use formulas for all numbers that appear in the 2021 monthly balance sheet and direct cash flow statement.
• You shouldset the timing of each cash transactionin the direct cash flow statement as shown in the table below. However, your excel file should enable a user (me) to change the month in which cash flows occur for each specific line item. (Only those items below that are identified as Variable Cash Transactions and have a yellow background need to be made variable.)
• A user should be able to enter (0) to show cash transactions in the month of a related transaction, (1) to show cash transactionsin the month following a related transaction (2) to show cash transactionstwo months following a related transaction or (3) to show cash transactions three months following a related transaction.
o The income statement is set up to enable you to use the offset command to calculate the monthly cash transactions amounts.
• Assume that the timing of bonus payments, income tax payments, audit and tax payments and business insurance payments are fixed and do not need to be variable in the model. You can capture the related payments directly from the related support tabs.
