Assume the average area of coverage for every 5lts:
i. For Plaster primer is 55m2
ii. For Flat oil undercoat is 65m2
iii. For Gloss finish oil paint is 68m2
The cost of 5 litres of Primer is RO 8.50, The cost of 5 litres of Flat Oil Undercoat is RO 10.25 and the cost of 5 litres of Gloss Finish is RO 12.85
Assume residue waste on paint to be 10%
Labour specification:
1. Painter's time to cover 100m2 of primer 11 hrs
2. Painter's time to cover 100m2 of undercoat 09 hrs
3. Painter's time to cover 100m2 of Gloss paint 14 hrs
4. Rate of painter per hour is RO 4.35.
Assume 10% for sundries cost for paint brush, roller, sand paper etc

Question 4: Calculate the price of obtaining a gravel form a pit located 16 km from the work site, where unit price is RO15/m3, using a loader with a rate of 50 m3 /hr (bank measure) and 12 m3 trucks to transport the gravel. The loader and trucks are priced at rates of RO 75/day and RO 45/day respectively. The labour crew consists of one equipment operator at RO 3.85/hr, two labours at RO1.85/hr and truck driver at RO 2.75/hr. The dump truck travel at an average speed of 20 km/hr. the gravel has swell factor of 12% and 5 minute required to off-load the truck.
