Religion does not stop at just what you believe in, religion can also be practiced through what you choose to wear, the style of your hair, preaching to others, having specific diets that include fasting, celebrating certain holidays and being aware of the language you use and behavior you show. Under the First Amendment, we enjoy the aspect of having the right to practice a government-imposed religion and the right to practice all religions. Even though private employers are not forced to abide by the Constitutions restrictions, they are forced to abide by federal and state laws that forbid religious unfairness in the workplace. Utilitarianism is the theory that argues that the choice we make produces the best results for the highest number of people. Deontology is the theory that argues that it is our duty to treat other with respect at all times and that human beings have dignity. Religion should never be pushed on others but we also should not judge other who freely practices their religion and it should not negatively affect others in the workplace.
