Prepare a sequence of lesson plans for three (3) 45-minute back to back lessons.
Each lesson plan is for a lesson of 45 minutes and should include (this is a guide only):
Description of: Aims and objectives, resources and information on the target audience.
Beginning: introducing the lesson, warm-up
Main content: a range of tasks to introduce various concepts, including macroskills and/or subskills. Outline the activities & tasks that meet your lesson aims/objectives. For each activity/task, specify what it is, its focus, the roles of teacher/students, resources, and duration.
Ending: review, summary, link to the next lesson.
Rationale:
Your rationale should provide an academic justification for the lesson design on the following topics: the aims/objectives and their appropriateness to the target audience; the selection and pedagogical appropriateness of these activities/tasks, the structure and coherence between the three lessons, how they meet the objectives of the lesson, and any anticipated challenges. You might want to indicate the lesson and activities you designed out of three lesson plans. The rationale must include at least 3 academic references, which excludes the references to the teaching materials and the main textbooks (Hall, Harmer and Ur).
