Wooden pencils are made in 1 week out of four kinds of parts: two wooden halves, the graphite, the metal cap, and the rubber eraser. Construct an MRP explosion for orders of 10 dozen in week 2, 30 dozen in week 3, and 15 dozen in week 5. There are currently 500 wooden halves on hand, 300 graphic rods, and 1500 metal caps, but no rubber erasers. All items are purchased with a 1-week lead time except the graphite, which takes 2 weeks. Create a schedule of releases for the wooden halves and graphite. Use lot-for-lot sizing.
