Risk Management in Engineering Assessment Task
Objectives:
Instructions:
1. Select a risk problem in an engineering environment and prepare a risk management plan in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009.
2. Define your system boundaries carefully; you may need to simplify and define the boundaries of your report (for example "looking only at OH&S risks" only) in order to achieve the word limit.
3. Include relevant literature review.
4. Show evidence of consideration of alternatives for risk management.
5. Clearly state the risk tolerability criteria employed.
6. Consider aspects beyond the texts and lecture materials i.e. value added discussion.
7. UTS reserves the right to use and/or disclose your assignment. If you use information which your (current or former) employer could regard as confidential, clearly state this on the first page. UTS will endeavour to protect all such information from disclosure.

Submit as a soft copy through the Turnitin link provided on UTSOnline. Be aware that Turnitin is a sophisticated systems in place to detect plagiarism, whether of another student's work or of books, internet resources, etc. Reference correctly - not referencing sources correctly can lead to a mark deduction, and not referencing sources at all (including pictures, diagrams, and photographs) can be seen as plagiarism and can lead to disciplinary action. A late penalty of 10% of the final mark per day is applied per FEIT policy, and the assignments submitted after 5 days are not marked. Specification: Weight: 20%, Length: 3000-4000 words excluding any appendices, Type: Individual, Submission: Online via UTSOnline, Due: Refer to the timetable.
Content - Identify all the relevant stakeholders, and define system boundaries precisely, Define the context clearly, Discuss the societal benefits of the risk exposure, Use the FMEA technique to identify, quantify and mitigate sources of risk, Use four (inclusive of FMEA) relevant risk assessment methods (see SA/SNZ HB 89), Present the risk tolerability criteria using examples and provide a detailed & relevant discussion. Contain a quantified Tolerability of Risk (ToR) discussion and a ToR table Quantify the risk exposure using relevant measures e.g. patron visits, no. of incidents, type and nature of incidents, change in patron usage. Discussion - Discuss the findings and discussion goes beyond lecture materials. Presentation - Structure the report appropriately, Reference correctly using IEEE or UTS styles, Conform to the word limit (3000-4000) and provide a word count confirmation.
Draw a causal loop diagram of some components of your causal map from Part 1. You will need to consider which components could interact as part of a causal loop

Suppose you are an execution trader. Why can you think of an alternative stochastic process under which these levels make sense?
Based on your correlation coefficient, how good (valid) is your prediction, poor, okay, good, very good?
ECET345- Write a MATLAB program that convolves the 10 Hz triangular input with the impulse response of the filter, and plot the following variables as a function of time on a single graph.
The circuit, fed by an 8-V peak-to-peak triangular wave, should limit the amplitude of the output signal via a 0.7-V diode to a value corresponding to that of a sine wave whose zero-crossing slope matches that of the triangle. What are the clampin..
