Prepare a 3000 words report regarding renewable energy including 12 references.

This renewable energy research report is a group assignment.

You are required to submit a report on renewable energy produced by solar photovoltaic technology and wind-electricity technology by evaluating these renewable energy types and assessing their feasibility as sustainable energy supplies.

Search for related literature on the above-mentioned renewable energy systems and make critical analysis on your findings by comparing and contrasting between the case systems characteristics.

Search for relevant literature on the selected case topic to gather updated backgrounds of the principle of operation, features, energy potentials, operating efficiencies, advantages, disadvantages, applications, and impacts of the topic systems. You will need these backgrounds to develop the parts of your report as outlined below:

2. An "Introduction" sectionon the current trend and impacts of electricity generation from non renewable energy and the promise of wind and photovoltaic electricity in meeting the growing consumption demand and reducing environmental externalities.

3. A section on the " Principles of Operation and Features of Photovoltaic Systems" ( with photo illustrations) to cover:

• The principle of operation

• Overview on the different PV cells designs

• Discussing the characteristic performance curve

4. A section on the " Principles of Operation and Features of Wind Electricity Systems" ( with photo illustrations) to cover:

• The principle of operation

• Overview on the different wind generator designs

• Overview of the variable pitch-blade system

• Comparing the geared drive and direct drive systems to generator

• Discussing the characteristic performance curve

• Comparing on-shore wind farms with off-shore wind farms

5. A section on " Energy Potentials and Operational Efficiencies" to cover the following:

• Solar and wind energy potentials and geographical/ seasonal variation

• Comparison between operational efficiencies of Photovoltaic systems and wind generators

6. A section on the advantages, and disadvantages of photovoltaic systems and wind generators

7. A section on the applications and impacts of topic systems:

• Block diagrams for Off-grid and grid-tied photovoltaic systems and wind systems

• Negative impacts of Photovoltaic systems and how to mitigate them.

• Negative impacts of wind generator systems and how to mitigate them.
