This study will analyze the use of a Sopranature prairie style extensive green roof for its viability for storm-water management. This will be implemented on a proposed community center in Mississauga, Ontario, where the area predominantly consists of commercial buildings. In a civil engineering context, this study will illustrate through storm-water management by utilizing a prairie style extensive green roof. This will create green space in urban areas, while mitigating storm-water surface runoff and will create an aesthetic appearance within the community. The main purpose of this study is storm-water management through the use of an extensive green roof and its feasibility for the proposed building.
