It is required to pump benzene(100 m3/h) from point M at ground level to top of a tower (not shown in the graph) at point N, which is at a height of 30 meters above the ground level. To avoid interruption in the process, two identical pumps will be used in parallel. Only one pump will be in service and the other one will be used if the first pump fails. Use the attached graph paper which shows the other units in the plant. You are required to prepare a piping diagram and calculate the pipe size as well as the required power of the pump. You need to specify the type of fittings and the pipe material for your calculations. There will be 3 ports on the pipe line to insert different sensors for measurements, these ports can be modeled as a "T" junctions (straight through). Show the location of pumps and all the fittings and valves on your diagram.

Use internet (or any other information source) to find a supplier and select your pump based on the information provided by the supplier.

Use handbooks or any other sources for estimation of benzene properties.

Please attach the info used for pump selection (from the supplier catalogue).

You may make assumptions followed by your justification.

Note in the diagram, A, B, C, D, are vessels and E is the warehouse.
