Question - On 30 June 2021 Moderna Ltd had a cash balance as per bank ledger (company records) of $3,030 debit (prior to the Bank reconciliation). The bank statement from CBZ Bank on that date showed a debit balance of $5,200. A comparison of the statement with the cash account revealed the following facts:

-Cash sales of $24,400 on 29 June were deposited in the bank but not yet recorded in the bank Statement.

-Unpresented cheques at 30 June totalled $20,000 (Cheque no.897 for $5,600 and Cheque no.899 for $14,400)

-On 18 June Moderna Ltd issued cheque no.9395 for $13,500 to Maree Jackson on account. The cheque, which cleared the bank in June, was incorrectly recorded as $15,300 in the Bank Statement.

-On 30 June the bank statement showed a dishonoured cheque of $2,000 that had been issued by Liz Dixon, a customer, to Moderna Ltd. $15 was charged by CBZ bank as dishonoured cheque fee. 

-Bank statement shows $10 bank fees and $5 interest on overdraft were charged on 30 June.
