My academic preparation would include the completion of two Master Degree. My first one is a Masters in Criminal Justice where my concentrations were in the area of Juvenile Delinquency and Adult Correctional issues. My second degree was in the area of communications and my concentration was non verbal communication. Also I have completed approximately 45 hours of post graduate work in the areas of Philosophy of Education and Curriculum Development. I have several publications the first being a co-authored text book that was published in early 1990’s entitled, “The Sexual Trafficking in Children” . For this manuscript I examined the issues surrounding Child prostitution, child pornography, pedophilia, and the response to juvenile justice and adult criminal justice system as they addressed those three issues. I also have several publications in the area of adult correction. Here my focus dealt with constitutionality of confinement issues. I have worked in the criminal justice system as special master. I was appointed by the west Virginia state supreme court in 1984 and theoretically and realistically was the last person out of the penitentiary when it closed in 1995. My role and responsibility was to evaluate the conditions of confinement for that 11-year period, report to the high courts as well as work with a number of circuit court judges who were also appointed to the case. Ultimately, my responsibility was to help the court system close the penitentiary in a constitutionally and humane manner. In the last five years, I have refocused my energies back to the sexual exploited child. Here, I am examining issues of the 21st century and cyber crimes that are being committed against children. As we go through this course and all of my courses.
