Problem- Predict the ground-state electron configuration of the following ions. Write your answers in abbreviated form, that is, beginning with a noble gas in brackets.

The abbreviated electron configuration is written using an element symbol for a noble gas, followed by the configuration of the electrons in the outermost shell. For example, the abbreviated electron configuration of magnesium is [Ne]3s2. Ions of d-block metals typically lack the outermost s electrons that are present in their neutral counterparts.
