Discussion
The objectives of this forum are:
1. To provide you with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the course material.
2. To practice applying your analytical and communication skills ((building arguments and collaborative thinking).
This assessment is to assess students learning outcome from CLO2 - Distinguish between planned and unplanned change and the models of change.
Question
What major change has taken place or has occurred in your unit/department/organization recently? Was it a planned or unplanned change? What could be the main force which responsible for that change? Explain your personal reaction or feeling toward that change. What actions or steps your superior had done or you as the superior had done to make it easier for people in the unit/department/organization to accept the changes.
Guidelines
1. Students are required to do a forum based on the instruction given below.
2. This task is to be accomplished individually.
3. The forum discussion is an essential part of this course. As this is a postgraduate-level course, you are expected to participate by reading the discussions and contributing to them.
4. You are also expected to follow up any responses to your contributions.
5. You and other students will be going off and searching out information, and these discussion groups provide you with an opportunity to share your knowledge, to seek feedback from fellow students.
6. You are expected to respond to the topic, issue or question with comments that are considered, and that reflect your personal opinions, experiences, and knowledge. Where appropriate, your comments should take into account the relevant course readings. Feel free to quote readings you feel might be of interest to others in your group. Try to remain focused on the topic.
7. Each post should:
o add to the discussion.
o bring about a new way of looking at the issues being raised.
o recognize where appropriate earlier contributions from other students.
o if possible, incorporate the readings or other academic sources (quoting small passages is acceptable - try to limit quotes to no more than three or four lines).
o responses that say more than "...I agree with that..." or "...same for me..." are expected.
8. Active participation in the discussion is expected and encouraged.
