A practical nurse was frustrated while taking care of Gwon Chin, a 79-year-old Korean man who had suffered a stroke. Despite asking his bilingual daughter to tell him not to get out of bed due to his unsteady gait, Mr. Gwon continued to try to get out of bed, causing his daughter and wife to become afraid. The practical nurse discovered that the daughter had not informed her father of his stroke. She felt that it would be disrespectful to him, as his father had always been very clear on what was right and wrong throughout her life. The daughter stated that she would leave it to her brother to inform their father of his condition.
