One of the powerful appeals of traditional and print media is the people who are in the advertising. The other appeal is the product promise. For example, if you bought some exercise DVDs, would it make you look like the person on the cover? What about shaving cream? If you use it in the morning, will your face be chiseled and smooth like the guy in the ad?

Be honest: Have you ever purchased a product because you thought you would look like the person in the ad? Discuss the following:
