The Legislature branch is the most powerful and dangerous. In Federalist Paper 78, Hamilton states that the legislature commands the purse and also has the power to regulate the rules and duties of citizens. Marshall believed that "The power to tax is the power to destroy." Not only does the Legislature branch have the power to tax and regulate rules, but it also has the power to impeach. In the Walter Nixon v. US case, the court ruled that the impeachment power is constitutionally reserved for the Senate. Ultimately showing that the Legislature branch has the most control and responsibilities.
