Secondary Data Review

This assignment will be to practice using secondary data to gather information to support your decision making for a specific product. Secondary data is information that has already been gathered on a given topic or indirectly related to a problem. Great secondary sources can be Statistics Canada, industry publications, academic journals, competitive reports, and many more.

Pick a product from any industry and using available information, assess the market size, growth potential, income levels, demographics, climate, political issues, economics, social, technological issues for North Bay.

Understand who the target market is before assessing the factors above. A product like bread is available to almost everyone. A Tesla automobile would be a much more limited target market. Things like climate may seem trivial but could have large potential impacts on specialized products. Be sure to reflect on how that may or may not impact your product.

Use at least five sources; be sure to use a variety of sources to ensure the information is accurate and comprehensive.
