Assignment: Many needs of military personnel are evident at the time of their separation from military service. Other needs, however, such as the residual psychological and physical effects of war and combat, may not be obvious until many years after military personnel have returned to civilian life. In addition, the federal government has established services for aging veterans, but the veterans and their families may not be aware of these services or know how to obtain them.
