Stewie Griffin used to be a well-respected manager in Malton Inc. He was always open to new ideas and allowed his subordinates to actively participate in the decision-making process. However, his leadership approach changed when the new CEO, Olive Oyl, was appointed. He started to exhibit high initiating-structure behavior and low consideration towards his subordinates. He redefined the leader-subordinate role, tightened the formal line of communication, implemented a close-door policy, and dictated how tasks should be performed. There is strong resistance to drastic changes. The motivation level of the organizational members started to plummet. A few subordinates quit, saying that they did not feel comfortable about the new culture in Malton Inc.
