Positive impression upon the hiring organization

During the interview process, it is assumed that applicants/candidates will present themselves in the best light possible, in hope of making a positive impression upon the hiring organization. What are the applicant behaviours that give rise to either positive, or negative, employer impressions of job applicants at the interview stage? I'm not looking for a cut and paste from the textbook, I'm looking for your perspective, as if you were the interviewer.

From a hiring perspective, are any of these behaviours "show stoppers" in your mind (meaning a behaviour that behaviour that would remove them from consideration of the selection process)?
