Steven is HIV positive and struggling with AIDS. He is a lawyer who has slowed down his practice and given up much of his caseload because of his condition. His doctor has put him on antiviral medication and he is tired and showing more symptoms of AIDS.

He is losing weight and losing his appetite due to the medications. He wants to continue to work but is worried that he must stop if he becomes too frail. His doctor has put him on anabolic steroids to improve his appetite and loss of muscle mass. He is in town to see his sister when she brings him to see you at the clinic. Steven is now suffering from acne and feeling tightness in his chest. He is worried about heart problems and has come to you for more information and possible advice.
