SCENARIO: PORTALS OF ENTRY

You are a Surgical Technologist and must report to work at 6:45 a.m. for your first surgery. You wake with a fever, cough and chills. Against better judgment, you report to work anyway. Your first patient is an immunocompromised person. What are the risks associated with you caring for this patient?
